Perjalanan akhir tahun 2012

  Selamat tahun baru 2013 bagi rekan-rekan semua. Di penghujung tahun 2012 dan awal tahun 2013, saya berkesempatan untuk berkunjung ke negara negara se ASEAN. Dimulai dari Bangkok diteruskan ke Siem Reap Cambodia, kemudian kota Ho Chi Minh, dilanjutkan ke kota Danang di Vietnam untuk melihat Hoi’an , the World Heritage ancient town. Kemudian ke Hanoi Vietnam untuk menginap dengan perahu Junk boat di Halong Bay. Dari Hanoi ke Luang Prabang di Laos, kemudian menyusuri sungai Maekhong untuk ke perbatasan Laos dan Thailand di Hou Sai, Laos dan Chiang Kong, Thailand. Berakhir di Chiang Mai dan balik ke JKT setelah melihat-lihat di Chiang Rai.  Dari tanggal 29 Desember 2012 sampai tanggal 11 Januari 2013, mengunjungi 4 negara dengan 11 kota, dengan memakai...

MantaWatch: Intern’s Diary: Anindita’s First Impressions

September has been really fun for me. First I ‘celebrated’ my 21st birthday on a boat in the middle of the sea between Indramayu and Biawak Island, and it only gets better! Right now I am in Labuan Bajo, NTT because I won a Guy Joseph MantaWatch Award. I am doing a manta ray conservation internship with MantaWatch, supported by Guy’s Trust. MantaWatch and Guy’s Trust are both based in UK. As you can see by the name, MantaWatch specializes in manta rays. And yes, I will be (well hopefully) diving with mantas a lot. Besides that, through this internship we hope that we get photos and supporting data to help us learn as much as possible about the manta population, where the aggregation sites are and maybe where would they migrate.
